Located just a few miles east of Savannah, Georgia, Tybee Island will mesmerize you with itís laid back, easy going lifestyle. No high rises here, just plenty of colorful cottages, quaint local shops, galleries and eateries to fit your every mood. Finding your way around is a breeze: walk, drive, or rent a bike or scooter.

Try your hand at fishing from the pier and beaches, or check out the deep sea and in-shore charters. Tybee is also popular for crabbing and shrimping. Kayaking is a great way to explore the waters and marshes. Dolphins are abundant and you are sure to see some frolicking in the waves. Make your own waves on a jet ski or test your skills on a surfboard.

Climb to the top of Georgiaís oldest, tallest lighthouse built in 1773, Check out the museum to learn the history of this 145 foot monument. Fort Pulaski National Monument and Fort Screven are historic military sites to explore.  And donít miss the Tybee Pier and Pavilion on South Beach. Live concerts, art fairs and other fun events occur here year-round.

Savannah is just a short drive away so when your sun-soaked skin needs a break be sure to include a trip to this elegant, charming city. With award winning restaurants, galleries, shopping, and nightlife, there is something for everyone. The amazing architecture and graceful public squares are candy for the eye.
